- Dragons’ den: Series in which budding entrepreneurs get three minutes to pitch their business ideas to five multi-millionaires willing to invest their own cash. Apart from the UK version, which I believe was the original one, there are now similar shows in several other countries (usually with the same name, except for the US where the show is called Shark Tank and btw it’s a great version, I´d say even better than the original). As a summary, this page collects data about the investment done in the show to help you figure out how the Sharks like to value businesses.
- The Apprentice: s a reality television series in which a group of aspiring young businessmen and women compete for the chance to win a £100,000-a-year job (changed to a 250000 investment in the latest series) as an apprentice to the British business magnate Lord Sugar. Again, there are other versions around, probably the US one with Donald Trump is the most popular but in this case I’d recommend you to watch the UK version
and if want to imagine how much good to the world you could do if you were filthy rich, watch Secret Millionaire for some motivation (and tears).
